Canvassing w/ the Jon Serrano Campaign

Thank you for your interest in canvassing! A few details:

• We will be canvassing in The Caldwells, West Orange, Verona, and Montclair!
• Volunteers will receive pre-canvassing training to prepare them for the field.
• You will also receive a bag containing literature to handout to constituents.
• Clipboards containing tally sheets, maps, campaign notes to talk about, and more!
• Snacks and Waters will be Provided!

Dress Code Policy: 

1. Professional Casual Attire: Volunteers should wear comfortable yet presentable clothing suitable for outdoor activities. Avoid overly casual items such as ripped jeans, sweatpants, or graphic tees.

2. Branded Apparel: If available, please wear campaign-branded shirts or hats to promote visibility. If not, stick to plain or neutral colors.

3. Footwear: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required, as canvassing involves a lot of walking. Sneakers or walking shoes are preferred.

4. Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Dress according to the weather conditions. Bring jackets or rain gear if needed, and ensure sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen) during warmer days.

5. No Offensive Attire: Avoid clothing with political statements unrelated to the campaign, as well as any offensive language or imagery.

6. Identification: All volunteers should wear campaign badges or lanyards, if provided, for easy identification.

7. Face Masks (if applicable): Follow local guidelines on mask-wearing, and ensure they are clean and, if possible, feature campaign branding.
